How we operate:
Our method of operation is not unlike most world govermental
intelligence organs, save maybe the fact that there is only one such organization within the
LEGION (this is not to compare the our system to a government...) which expands the range of
duties, and gets rid of a lot of red tape. Agents and operatives are given full military
privileges in order to accomplish their goals and are also supplied with nearly everything
else they need to fulfill their assignments. Our agents and operatives are trained to be the
best, and be ready for anything and everything, as well.
All information is gathered centrally by the Director of the department (and whomever he or she
appoints as aides) after coming from the field, and processed to be used where applicable.
These applications are usually military intelligence, tactical, threat forecasting,
counterintelligence and public information. Agents and operatives can be assigned anywhere on
the globe depending on the need for information from that area. They may also be given
assignments of just about any nature or purpose, again depending on the department's current
need, so no blanket description would explain the typical assignment for a LEGION agent or
operative sufficiently.
Who is in the Intelligence Division?
A current list of who is in the Intelligence Division
can be obtained by reading the full officer listing for the LEGION,
and Intel officers will be denoted as such. LEGION Intelligence does not hide the identities
of its officers except for special circumstances, because it has not been necessary in the past
and public listings do not hinder our operations.
Uniform:
Due time constraints, a picture of Legion Intelligence uniforms
is not currently available, but should be in the near future.
Intelligence agents and operatives are given uniforms for ceremonial, etc. duties only, but
carry either a badge or a ring to identify them. (This excludes undercover work, where no
identification is given.) Dress uniforms are like those of all other divisions, with the
secondary color also being black, but outlined in dark gray or metallic silver, depending
on the material. Peacetime work uniforms consist of standard military dress with the
appropriate divisional decoration. The ring given to agents very closely resembles the
Legion Intelligence Insignia, but the color behind the skull may also be blue, red, gold,
or platinum. This is dependant upon assignment for reasons that cannot be disclosed.
Standard Issue Equipment:
For the same reasons, pictures are not currently available.
Operatives are given as standard equipment:
- Two (2) 9mm handguns with modified handle to accomodate being up the wearer's sleeves, on
an automatic slide mechanism that causes them to instantly slide out to firing position
when a certain hand gesture is given.
- One (1) .38 Beretta or .45 Magnum (agent's choice) to be worn below the shoulder.
- One (1) pair of reading glasses and one (1) pair of sunglasses that both transmit a heavily
encoded signal carrying a picture of what the wearer sees.
These items are not products of S.P.E.E.D. but are obtained from other sources.
- Five (5) bullet-proof vests. An agent seldom goes through more than five.
Special Weapons & Equipment:
Standard issue weapons & equipment is only the most basic
supply that an operative will use. Most items are created for specific missions or future
uses, and there are more to be named than will fit in this FAQ. Vehicles are often modified
for assignments, as are common items and jewelry that are worn or carried by agents. In
the future, we will bring you pictures and stats of some of what we use.
